Does you're pantry look like a hot mess? I know mine did before I got orginized and created extra space in my food pantry. Would you like to know the secrets I've come up with to help maximize as much space as possible? Then you've found the right article for you! When you open your pantry; like me, I'm sure there are a number of boxes, cans and paper products just everywhere! Sometimes this can make finding what you need extremely difficult and some of your food could even expire before it gets used because you didn't see it. Let me show you exactly what you need to get organized once and for all! Lets start with any storage bags, tin foil, wax paper, etc that you might have in your pantry. They make great racks that you can attach to a wall or even the back of the door to help you find the perfect spot for these items. You simply attach, or have someone attach these shelves to the wall and drop your items right in. That's one things you won't loose anymore. Next we should take a look at your can inventory. Do you even know what all you have in there? I know when I started organizing mine, I realized that I had ten cans of tomatoes that weren't even being used because they were in the back of the pantry and I just could see them. They make these awesome shelf that sit right on the shelves of your pantry and allow you to keep all of your cans right on it. This allows you to sort through exactly what you need by picking a can up and placing back on the shelf or roller if you don't need it. Depending on how many cans you keep in your home, will determine exactly how many of these shelves you will need. Another thing that takes up way too much space is toilet paper, paper towels and napkins. It seems like I have these items everywhere. All you have to do with these is simply stack them in a box on the floor of your pantry. Easy to keep up with and available when you need them. These are just a few ideas that you can use to help create more space in your food pantry. I hope this helps and inspires you to take on this task and even find more creative mres options.

Have you ever had a problem with finding those little bugs in your flour? You decided to bake a loaf of bread, got all the ingredients together and then you started to measure out your flour and there they were, little worms crawling around in the flour. So, you have to dump the flour and go buy a new bag before you can bake anything. Sugar doesn't get bugs usually, but it get's stale, and clumps together and becomes unattractive. The best mres container for such things as dry goods, flour, rice, sugar, or legumes, is a glass jar, such as a canning jar, with screw on lids. A bug or worm just can't get into those, and they will stay fresh. Another good thing about glass jars is because they are clear, you can see exactly what is in them, and how much. You can see at a glance whether or not you have enough for your recipe. Buy the little half pints and they are perfect for your spices and condiments, sprinkles, chocolate chips and other decorations. Glass jars store well in your refrigerator, or in your cupboard, just line them up. If you have enough space they can even be stacked. Of course, be careful they do not drop. Glass does break. If you have vintage glass jars with a screw tops, they are very attractive lined up on your counter, especially if you like the country look. You can find glass jars at any grocery store, and if you are looking for big jars, just buy a large jar of pickles. Sometimes you can find glass jars at flea markets or yard sales. Ask your mother, or your elder aunts or your grandmother, and they will probably have some of those old jars stored away in the attic, just waiting for someone to love them again. Glass jars are good for so many things, leftovers, soups, and don't forget the best thing, canning and freezing. You can also heat up leftovers in the microwave, and tomato or other acidic foods will not stick to the glass and melt in, like plastic. Glass is green (actually, you can find the old ones in green) but what I'm talking about here, is good for the earth, recyclable. If they break, you can put them in the recycle bin, and they will be used again, and again, and again.
